Edison the Medium takes the familiar silhouette of the table lamp, enlarges it and strips it of its cable. Fatboy plays on the shift in scale: a generous lampshade, a tapered base, a height of 51 cm that places it halfway between a bedside lamp and an auxiliary floor lamp. Its smart version belongs to the Edison the Medium family and is controlled remotely, without having to lean towards the switch.
The body is moulded in LLDPE, a flexible and resistant polyethylene that withstands outdoor use. The lamp sits on a garden table, moves as the evening goes on, joins a terrace or a windowsill without the constraint of a socket. At 4.4 kg on the scales, it remains stable on the ground while being carried with one hand.
Indoors, it works like a classic auxiliary lamp and finds its place on a console, a sideboard or the corner of a desk. Its pared-down form and full volume allow it to dialogue with contemporary interiors as well as with warmer atmospheres.
