In the 1950's, the collaboration between the Danish Navy Department and Louis Poulsen gave life to a suspension model which then disappeared thirty years later plus.
In 2012, the house of design revisits this functional light fixture which used to light the mess halls and offices of the Danish Navy at that time. The Doo-Wop suspension now has very similar lines with new colors and a structure made of more modern materials (brass, steel, copper).
