Created in 1955 by renowned designer Mathieu Matégot, the Copacabana lounge chair embodies elegance intemporelle, with flowing lines that look as if they were drawn with a single stroke of crayon. Its low, uncluttered design combines comfort and style, perfect for a relaxed atmosphere. The curved tubular frame surrounds a round seat and backrest in perforated Rigitulle sheet, signature by Matégot, and flows harmoniously into the rear legs for a visual effect of dynamic movement.
This 360° re-edition preserves the essence of Matégot 's original work while adding modern ergonomic enhancements. The angle backrest and seat have been carefully adjusted to offer optimum comfort, adapted to contemporary morphologies. This model is presented here in a version with Leslie Stripe fabric, Limonta (020, Standard) - a highly resistant woven textile specially designed for outdoor use, perfect for gardens, patios or terraces.
Available in black classique and the vibrant 50s-inspired International Orange, this special edition evokes the boldness of Matégot. This orange color, used in iconic architectural projects such as the Golden Gate Bridge, infuses the armchair with a playful touch that softens the industrial aspect metal, while recalling the furniture and lighting creations of Matégot from the period.
The Copacabana lounge chair is thus a à la piece that is both decorative and structured, an icon of design that adapts perfectly to modern spaces, combining comfort and caractère for an incomparable relaxing experience.
