Children's bed with storage in white wood and natural solid oak 208x99.3x66.5cm Nor - Flexa

The NOR daybed from FLEXA plays on a simple idea: a sleeping surface that doesn't look like a bed during the day. Placed against a wall, it offers deep seating and a low backrest; pulled away, it becomes a full sleeping surface once more. The design, by the FLEXA Design Team, remains understated, with straight lines and softened angles that integrate just as well into a child's bedroom as into a guest room.

The structure combines MDF with solid oak, in an oak finish that reveals the wood's grain. This balance between panel and solid wood yields stable furniture capable of supporting a load of one hundred kilos, whilst retaining a low, contained silhouette. The two-metre length corresponds to a standard sleeping surface, making it easier to choose a mattress and bed linen.

NOR supports growth: an extra seat in the living room, a teenager's bed, occasional sleeping space for guests. Its weight reflects the density of the materials used and the solidity of the assembly, for a piece of furniture designed for the long term rather than for a season.
