The CH37 dining chair from 1962, designed by Hans J. Wegner, is clearly inspired by the principles of American Shaker furniture: simplicity, functionality and craftsmanship. The CH37 also features many carefully considered details characteristic of Wegner's style.
The chair's light, elegant appearance is created by vertical round legs and a backrest that arches backwards - slightly plus at the top than at the bottom - to provide the best possible support for the back. The à la hand-woven paper rope seat and slightly rounded, flat armrests - attached to the front legs by a distinctive cap - ensure à la both comfort and sturdiness.
The fascinating design of the CH37 dining chair offers an expression à la both light and robust to comfortably accommodate several generations. The chair is also available without armrests under reference CH36.
