The CH23 dining chair is one of the first chairs Hans J. Wegner designed exclusively for Carl Hansen & Søn in 1950. The pieces he created at that time were not only unique, but also set new standards for modern furniture design thanks to their artistic expression and ergonomic form.
Although the CH23 chair may appear simple at first glance, elle incorporates many refined details, including elegant cruciform back caps, a double-woven seat and arched back legs that guarantee optimum stability.
Carl Hansen & Søn reintroduced the CH23 in 2017, once again incorporating early masterpieces into its collection. As always, design remains faithful to Wegner's original à la hand-drawn sketches, with all aesthetic and structural components intact.
