Black ceramic pendant light 44x26cm Pleat Box 47 - Marset

Applying a digitally designed fabric pleat to ceramic. This is how the Pleat Box light was born, a design that conveys the beauty of its material, its shapes and its texture.

Ceramic is a ductile, malleable material, and every light in the collection is handmade. Blending clay with different glazes enabled Xavier Mañosa to discover and interpret new lighting effects. He even went so far as to play with two different finishes inside the light: a glossy white glaze to create sparkles that enhance the light, and a 24-carat gold-plated version that diffuses an extraordinarily warm light.

The outside of the light is available in the collection's classic finishes – white, black, terracotta and grey – as well as in the new dark green and ochre colours, two new shades that broaden the range of possible combinations of different sizes, heights and colours. The Pleat Box collection is also available with integrated LED technology, which casts a warm indirect light and prevents glare. This light is a testament to a respect for craftsmanship, the care taken with ceramic and the ingenuity of the design.
