The Pina candle holder by Broste Copenhagen plays on a compact silhouette, almost as wide as it is tall. Its simple form holds the candle at low height and lets the flame work with the material rather than the volume. Placed alone on a table or repeated in a small series, it maintains the same discreet presence.
The piece is made of ceramic with a reactive glaze. This type of glaze reacts during firing and creates nuances, variations in density and sometimes runs that make each piece different. The ochre shade accentuates this mineral character, with deeper and lighter areas depending on how the glaze has settled.
Pina fits equally well on a set table, a console, a shelf or a mantelpiece. It complements the other pieces in the Pina family and combines easily with stoneware tableware, raw wood or natural textiles.
