Black lounge armchair Brutus - 101 Copenhagen

The Brutus collection by 101 Copenhagen draws its inspiration from the mid-20th-century Brutalism architectural movement. Each piece of furniture is designed as a simplified, block-like structure, echoing architectural building elements in concrete.

Designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen & Tommy Hyldahl, the Brutus armchair is characterised by its curved back and armrests. It highlights the delicate balance between crisp architectural lines and soft organic curves, thus creating a unique sculptural signature and remarkable seating comfort.

The armchair is moulded in fibre-reinforced concrete, which gives it great mobility and a unique surface texture, further enhanced by the various layers of paint covering it.
