The collection Brutus by 101 Copenhagen is inspired by the Brutalism architectural movement of the mid-20th century. Each piece of furniture is designed as a simplified block-like structure, reminiscent of architectural concrete building elements.
Designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen & Tommy Hyldahl, the Brutus chair is characterized by its curved back and armrests. It focuses accent on the delicate balance between clean architectural lines and soft organic curves, creating a sculptural signature unique and remarkable seating comfort.
The latter is molded in fiber-reinforced concrete, which creates a good mobility and a texture of surface unique, in plus of the different layers of paint covering it.
