Designed by the legendary Paavo Tynell, the 1972 pendant features a tapered bamboo shade, crafted by master artisans. The bamboo slats are sewn à la by hand into a pleated mat and attached à la by hand to the metal frame, with a linen lining in between.
This directs the light to base and creates a diffused glow around the shade and upwards, as the light penetrates the bamboo slats. Tynell's iconic brass details are also present, adding a timeless air and perfectly complementing the warm tone of the wood and light.
Beneath the bulb, a fabric diffuser modulates the light and, underneath, a decorative brass detail gives each lamp a sparkle of caractère and subtly influences the play of light that elle generates.
