The Hedvig Canister by Broste Copenhagen is a small box carved from marble, designed to remain on display rather than tucked away. Its cylindrical silhouette, topped with a lid of the same material, plays on a simple line that the stone alone is enough to dress. The black colourway accentuates this sobriety and highlights the natural veining, different from one piece to another.
Its compact proportions allow it to find its place on a bathroom table, a kitchen shelf or a desk. It accommodates jewellery, salt, cotton pads or small everyday objects equally well. The weight of the marble gives it a stable base and a tangible presence as soon as it is picked up.
The Hedvig collection fits into the Scandinavian spirit dear to Broste Copenhagen: pared-back shapes, raw materials and useful objects that blend easily with an already furnished interior. Alone or paired with other marble pieces, this pot composes a discreet and coherent scene.
