Combining comfort and modularity, the Alky chairs are designed to be used on their own or in groups. The padding is moulded directly onto a system of elastic straps, ensuring excellent stability. The structure rests on an aluminium alloy element. With its gently curving seat, optimal support and a wide choice of colours and coverings, the Alky chair adapts to a great many spaces. This version is covered in a hard-wearing fabric.

Born in Bologna in 1940, Piretti studied at the city's Istituto Statale d'Arte before joining Anonima Castelli as a designer. One of his most famous creations is the Plia chair, unveiled in 1969. Among his most remarkable designs are Plona, Platone and DSC 106, which would later extend his ranges to the Axis 3000 and 4000 models. In 1988, at the NeoCon trade show in Chicago, he presented the Piretti Collection: a series of more than 50 chairs and seats fitted with a patented mechanism in the backrest, allowing the seat to be adjusted according to the user's weight.
