Bar chair in oiled oak 63 cm Y5 - Hans K

The Y5 chair makes a strong and beautiful statement. Hans K, in collaboration with designer Sami Kallio, produced the Y5 chair. The chair's strength is based on the inverted Ys of its backrest. These Ys are joined together organically, giving the chair all its function, strength and durability. Combining traditional joinery methods with innovative techniques, the Y5 chair has its roots in the history of Swedish design.

Wood is its main material and reflects a commitment to ecologically sustainable design. Y5 suits a variety of different settings, such as the home, the café or the restaurant, with its different seat heights, and is also available in several wood species.

In 2016, the Y5 chair won the Design S award, a Swedish national design prize from Svensk Form.
