Felt ball rugs have arrived at The Cool Republic: meet myfelt, the German brand whose relaxed, fresh approach to design was bound to win us over.

Made according to fair trade principles, the Mono collection is crafted from large felt balls, each one individually shaped by hand.

The Carl rug by myfelt will easily find its place at the heart of a living room or a bedroom, and its bright, cheerful colours will only enhance that feel-good effect.

myfelt felt ball rugs are made from pure New Zealand sheep's wool, regarded as one of the most precious of all for its durability and exceptional quality.

Right at the start of the manufacturing process, the wool is carded in a workshop in Nepal. It is then washed several times and dyed under very strict ecological and humanitarian conditions, which are indeed approved by GoodWeave, one of the leading organisations working for a fair trade rug industry.

Each individual ball is brought to its final shape by hand over several stages. The finished balls are then sewn into a rug, which may be made up of as many as 50,000 felt balls, using a knotting technique specially developed by myfelt.

A beautiful decorative piece made to the highest fair trade standards: now that's an idea that takes you places!
