The Canadian studio MSDS is the creator of Hoop, a multi-functional coat rack with a soft and concise design , composed of oval shapes. With hooped pegs rather than hooks, the coat rack's hollow spaces provide an extra place to hang accessories.
The design is built around capsule shapes in a formal symmetry between the rounded shape of the back piece and the silhouette hollow of the vertical hangers. The delicate hoops are made of metal, combining a thin profile with a strong hold, while the wood component adds depth and texture to the design.
