Canadian studio MSDS is behind Hoop, a multifunctional coat rack with a soft, pared-back design made up of oval shapes. With hoop-shaped pegs rather than hooks, the coat rack's open spaces provide an extra place to hang accessories.
The design revolves around capsule shapes in a formal symmetry between the rounded form of the back piece and the hollow silhouette of the vertical hangers. The delicate hoops are made of metal, combining a slender profile with sturdy support, while the wooden component adds depth and texture to the design.
