The Rest lounge armchair designed by Anderssen & Voll for Muuto rests on a simple idea: to offer a wide, enveloping seat, where one settles in to stay. The armrests extend the backrest in a continuous movement, forming a generous shell that supports the back and shoulders.
The construction combines a structure in plywood and high-density fibreboard, zigzag springs, foam and wadding. This assembly provides supple yet firm comfort, without visible sagging. The legs are available in lacquered or chrome-plated steel, or in solid oak, which allows the armchair to be adjusted to a more graphic or warmer interior.
The low seat and substantial depth make it a relaxation armchair, to be placed in a living room, a library or a refined waiting area. The Hearth textile upholstery brings a soft matt finish that softens the volume of the room.
