Inspired by Danish hygge, designer Simon Legald has created the Hyg furniture series. When the series was introduced in 2018, elle consisted of a 2-seater sofa, lounge chairs and a footstool. In 2020, the range expands with a chair and bar stool that share the characteristics of the lounge series: hearty, organic curves designed with sublime comfort in mind. The concept of hygge is all about feeling good - safety, warmth and comfort are all part of its DNA, and it is precisely these qualities that make up the collection Hyg model. With the new models, the range - and comfort - expands encore, and new possibilities open up for créer coherent environments with dining and relaxation zones. "The moments where you sit ensemble, immerse yourself in conversation and share a meal - for me, this is where the hygge feeling reaches its peak. So it was only natural that the Hyg range should also be the setting for these moments. The feeling of well-being is not only linked to the visual experience of design, it lies in the overall sensory experience. A great deal of effort has gone into sculpting the shape to provide rest and support for the human body - to make it comfortable to sit on, in short. "says Simon Legald.
