3-seater sofa in dark brown fabric 101x230x82cm Summer - Zuiver

The Summer sofa by Zuiver takes its place in a living room as a forthright piece, long and low. Its generous width accommodates three people without compromise, whilst the restrained back height lets the space breathe above the seat. The dark brown colourway lays down a dark and warm base, easy to pair with a light floor as well as with a patinated parquet.

The fabric upholstery gives the whole a soft texture, which softens the regular geometry of the volume. Beneath, a steel frame ensures the seat holds firm along its entire length and supports a significant load, which allows the sofa to be used daily without particular care. Its substantial weight reflects this construction, and gives it a stability that is felt as soon as one sits down.

Placed against a wall, the Summer structures the room and sets its main axis. As an island, back turned towards a dining room or a passage, it carves the space with sharpness. Its length calls for open volumes, a large living room or a loft, where it can unfold without appearing cumbersome.
