Putting craftsmanship back into our homes, with original prints: this is the credo of this French brand, born 16 years ago.
Lucas du Tertre was born from two ambitions: the first, to make a brand that lasts over time and that excludes the seasonality of decorative objects and mode children. The second, to propose products resulting from a craft industry, in this case an Indian craft industry. Between tradition and modernity Marie Lucas and Clémence du Tertre have chosen to honor original prints to take us out of the greyness of our Western cities. As they like to say, their products bring us straight to Bombay-sur-Seine, creating a bridge between India and Paris.
For the past sixteen years, the founders have been committed to using traditional know-how and "hand-made" products. All fabrics are printed or woven à la by women and hommes with a family tradition of craftsmanship.
It is these exceptional skills that make the beauté collections and prints so special. By working only with humanly responsible partners, who also support local crafts - and offer their employees decent living conditions, access to education, health care - Lucas du Texte is committed to responsible and sustainable production methods.
And what does it give? A universe folk , timeless but original creations, marked byprints imprinted with poetry. What to blow a wind of exoticism, and appease your desires for elsewhere, with these prints that will lead straight to India. The Cool Team's favorite is the Hibiscus print: traditional but never boring, with these large flowers, highlighted by judicious color choices. The designers give free rein to their imagination when making their prints, giving birth to instinctive collections with modern shapes.
If the brand is as much interested in your interior as in dressing children, one thing is certain: these prints will bring a breath of fresh air, which, we must admit, seems very necessary in our cities sometimes tarnished with gray. A good dose of style in the house, in a socially responsible project
and sensitive to sustainable development… like what, everything is possible.
