Charles Kalpakian
Charles Kalpakian was born in Beirut in 1982. After working with a number of prestigious agencies, including that of designer Christophe Pillet, he opened his own studio in 2011
His clean, crisp style, which draws on the lines of calligraphy, is evident in his furniture and home accessory designs, as well as in his installations. His creations blend Eastern influences with Western modernist culture. Notably, he has designed the showrooms for the Italian brand Nemo Lighting in Paris and Milan. In 2018, he collaborated with Gebrüder Thonet Vienna on the Wallpaper* Handmade project. Since 2017, Charles Kalpakian has been working with NGOs such as the Tumo Foundation in Armenia and House of Today in Lebanon.
