Tips : To protect your mattress and keep it in good condition, we recommend using a sheet. To ensure the futon retains its shape, is well ventilated and remains flat, you should turn it over and rotate it regularly. We recommend turning the futon through 180 degrees, swapping the head and foot ends, approximately every 3 to 4 weeks. If necessary, the surface can be vacuumed to remove dust. For stains, use a slightly damp, colourless cloth with a small amount of clear washing-up liquid. Gently dab the affected area and remove any excess moisture with a dry cloth or kitchen roll.

Our Sandwich futon is a 16 cm thick cotton mattress with a latex foam core and a coconut fibre board. By adding 5 to 10% polyester to our cotton, we guarantee a higher density and thickness than traditional Japanese futons. However, it retains all the qualities of a traditional Japanese futon. The Sandwich futon will offer you a medium-soft sleeping comfort. The cotton of the futon will adapt to your body, the coconut fibre board will support it, and the soft latex foam core will isolate slight movements. Please note that all our futons are handmade; therefore, you may notice slight variations in size and weight.
