Vietnamese design: a blend of materials and experimentation

Founded in 2021, BằNG is a Vietnamese furniture and lighting brand that stands out for its unique approach to design, rooted in materials and manufacturing processes. At the crossroads of craftsmanship and industry, it creates objects that are both functional and unexpected, designed to spark curiosity and enrich everyday life. Driven by a contemporary and experimental vision, BằNG is establishing itself as an emerging force on the Asian design scene, where innovation and craftsmanship are in constant dialogue.

The name BằNG derives its meaning from the Vietnamese language, where it evokes both the concept of ‘made by’ and the material ‘made from’. This duality perfectly reflects the brand’s DNA, which is deeply rooted in the exploration of materials and production processes.

Located at the heart of a 5,000 m² production facility, the design studio benefits from a unique environment, incorporating several manufacturing areas and a wide range of machinery. This direct proximity to the production facilities allows for great creative flexibility, encouraging experimentation and innovation whilst ensuring consistent manufacturing quality.

Items by BằNG are described as ‘Unboring Objects’: pieces that catch the eye, encourage interaction and reinvent everyday uses without ever compromising on functionality. Each creation strikes a balance between aesthetics, clever design and the pleasure of use.

Backed by the expertise of over 30 skilled craftspeople, production is carried out in line with a responsible approach that prioritises fair working conditions and meticulous craftsmanship. Combining industrial precision with an eye for detail, each piece embodies a sustainable vision of design.

Designed to stand the test of time, BằNG’s creations fit seamlessly into contemporary interiors, bringing character, originality and emotion to every space.
