Ames – The Cool Republic

Outdoor furniture, bright colours and ethnic decoration

Ames is a brand with a dual nationality that offers pieces at the crossroads of styles. A small overview.

Founded in 2006 in Plaidt, Germany, by Ana María Calderón Kayser, the Ames brand draws inspiration from its designer’s dual Colombian and European heritage. It offers decorative items and furniture that blend multicultural influences with artisanal craftsmanship. Working with designers such as Sebastian Herkner and Erla Sólveig Óskarsdóttir, Ames has developed a style that is both ethnic and contemporary, combining geometric shapes, organic lines and sustainable materials.

The brand stands out for collections such as Cielo, with its vibrant colours; Caribe, designed for outdoor relaxation; and Killa, with its original mirrors. Although designed for outdoor use, its furniture also blends perfectly into indoor spaces, adding a stylish, warm and exotic touch. Durable and functional, it is ideal for creating a welcoming, weather-resistant space.
