Tala

Tala’s story began in the lecture halls of the University of Edinburgh, where three friends shared a common belief: that design can be a powerful catalyst for change in building a more sustainable world. Founded in 2015, the brand quickly established itself as a leading name in contemporary lighting design thanks to an approach that combines technological innovation, high aesthetic standards and a commitment to the environment.

Based in London, Tala develops collections of LED light fittings and bulbs designed to last. The brand prioritises high-quality, recyclable and sustainable materials, such as aluminium, solid wood and hand-blown glass, in order to reduce the environmental impact of its products throughout their entire life cycle.

At the heart of its expertise lies light itself. Tala is a pioneer in the development of LED bulbs offering excellent colour rendering, low flicker and dynamic lighting inspired by the natural rhythm of the sun. This focus on visual comfort helps to create warm atmospheres whilst promoting well-being in everyday life.

Innovation is also fuelled by ongoing dialogue with architects, designers and professionals from around the world. This collaborative approach enables Tala to devise lighting solutions suited to both residential spaces and the most demanding interior design projects.

As a B Corp-certified brand, Tala places sustainability at the heart of every decision it makes. From the selection of materials to the energy efficiency of its products, Tala is pursuing an ambitious vision: to design lighting that enhances spaces, improves quality of life and contributes to the transition towards a more sustainable future.

Through its collections, Tala demonstrates that technology, design and environmental awareness can coexist harmoniously to give rise to a new generation of sustainable lighting.
