HAY Stools

The HAY Stools collection brings together forty designs that embody the Danish brand's vision: accessible, functional design with a strong visual identity. Founded in Copenhagen in 2002, HAY has become a byword for contemporary furniture, combining formal rigour with expertly managed industrial production. Its stools capture that balance perfectly: pared-back silhouettes, carefully chosen materials and a consistent finish that makes them equally at home in a private interior or a professional space. Discover the full selection in our Stools department.

Among the brand's most recognisable pieces, the Hee stool, designed by Hee Welling, is a perfect illustration of the HAY approach: a slender powder-coated galvanised steel frame, a generous seat and the ability to stack up to fifteen high, making it an astute choice for communal or family settings. The collection spans a wide range of heights, from versatile low stools to bar stools, with an extensive palette of colours to suit very different moods. Some designs make the most of fine materials such as beech wood or recycled plastic, reflecting HAY's commitment to more responsible manufacturing. To complete your space with other pieces from the brand, explore the HAY Dining Tables or the HAY Lamps, which pair naturally with these seats.

HAY Stools suit any number of settings: kitchen island, bar counter, standing desk, entrance hall or collaborative workspace. Their compact format and stackability make them easy to store when not in use. For visual coherence in a Scandinavian or minimalist interior, they sit easily alongside tables with straight lines and lighting with understated geometry. If you would like to look beyond the brand, our selection of Normann Copenhagen Stools offers alternatives in a similar design spirit.
